Presenting: the most Tron fashion show
For anyone not already knowing what I’m talking about…
It’s Alexander McQueen for Givenchy Fall 1999
Let me make my case.
McQueen was openly inspired by the ‘82 movie and concepts, taking obvious elements such as bodysuits, helmets, and symmetrical circuit patterns rendered as beading and embroidery, as well as integrating more technical elements such as circuit luminescence in some of the looks by using reflective materials or including actual functioning circuitry with lights.
But it doesn’t end there.
I am absolutely convinced this fashion show made it onto the concept artists’ moodboards for later Tron media. I mean…
