kitchenscene:

combine your first real fandom with your current one to create a terrible, terrible au

fun fact, that is what I am currently writing

and it is a deeply weird and smutty circuit-porn crossover entitled “Fires and Walls” but the actual document in which I’m writing it is just called “tronfarr.html”

snippet of author notes:

(Believe me, this surprised me as much as anyone. But after the privilege of being a K/S fan so long, I guess I was due to experience the rare-pair/rare-fandom agony for once. Dammit.)

Anyway: Trek/Tron crossover! Sorta. The Trek is TOS, with established Kirk/Spock in an adventurous open relationship. The Tron is an all-media mashup proto-holodeck AU forming spontaneous consciousness (as you do, sometimes, in the Star Trek world). More open relationship stuff going on there, with a Tron/Yori/Ram/KevinFlynn sorta-polycule (it's complicated.)

The way computers work in this story is based primarily on how they seem to work in TOS, secondarily on how they seem to work in Tron, and approximately 0% on how they work in real life.

(Please do not feed this to an AI, because Tron does not want to be chewed up and spat out by another program, that would be so glitchingly meta that it would probably summon the MetaTron from Good Omens and set off a new apocalypse or something.)

(More notes at the end, about the tropes and stories of this fandom and why they're working sooooo well for my chaotic brain right now.)ALT

(which, yes, I am writing in a program designed for programming. but that’s just because AO3 fics are coded like HTML pages and it’s the easiest way for me)
