I think the only reason I can write circuit fic with the appropriately titillating amount of programming references, despite having really no coding skill beyond HTML, is… the same reason I can write coherently about a whole lot of things I don’t know shit about

…i.e. I create a framework of the universe where everything is connected by puns

cannot begin to list all the things I only have in my mental database because my brain decided to make a pun on them

like I can hear someone joke “Spooning leads to forking” and immediately get inspired to add “And forking leads to child processes!” even though I only have the vaguest idea what forking and child processes even ARE, because my brain saw some piece of writing about them once and made a pun that preserved the connection between them and IMMORTALIZED it, without any actual knowledge on my part

My pun-brain is basically chatGPfuckingT and this is NOT how I wanted to be rezzed as a program, dammit
