Tron: electronic

so I know Lisberger named Tron from the word “electronic” (the character was adapted from an animation in an advertisement called “Electronic Man”) and he says he didn’t even know about the programming command TRON (trace-on) until after the movie came out

but i am now imagining Tron trying to defend himself

Tron: “see? it doesn’t HAVE to mean electronic”

Tron: “it COULD be about my ability to report to my User”

Tron: “it means a window or printout will show the User whatever line number of code is being executed”

Yori: “so, your name actually means HEY ALAN WATCH ME”

Tron: “…yori…”
