if that 1-scene background character in the trans-flag shirt in that one movie counts as a canonically trans Disney character

then I submit that Kevin Flynn was a canonically queer Disney character occupying at least 4 spaces on the LGBTQ spectrum, as he had at least 4 rainbow flags in his apartment

(not to mention what exactly he DID in front of them)

Kevin Flynn walks in the door of his apartment, right after the guests he just invited in. Over the door are 4 rainbow flags, 2 in the usual rectangular shape and 2 curved like upside-down rainbows. He immediately takes off his shirt.ALT
Shirtless, with a heated gaze, Kevin Flynn stands in front of a fifth rainbow-striped decoration of some sort, this one made up of individual sparkly pieces. Cut to one of his guests (new boyfriend of his ex-girlfriend) who has taken off his nerdy glasses and is fidgeting with the end of them near his awestruck open mouth.ALT
Having partially put a shirt on, and with a charming smile, Kevin Flynn walks toward the camera, hand tugging down the middle of the shirt between his still-exposed pecsALT

Let’s see… How many spots on the LGBTQ+ spectrum can we tick off on the same person…

I mean, if genderfluid can be counted under the umbrella of the T…

… there can easily be a genderfluid individual who is L when in girl-form and G when in guy-form, and therefore identifies, overall, as B

I know, because that is (roughly, for lack of better descriptions) how I roll

(not sure if this is how Kevin rolls but it is one way to cover the first 4 letters all at once)

(anyway I’ve decided we have to say he’s at least 5 of the letters, because that’ll explain the two rectangle rainbow flags, the two curved upsidedown rainbow ones, AND whatever that sparkly rainbow decoration is behind him in gif 2 and 3)

(he could’ve just gotten more specific flags to make it clearer, but when has Kevin ever been that organized lol)

Less of a flag and more of a regular old rainbow but there’s this one at the arcade too!

Can never have enough rainbows with this man!

I was watching some of the extras on the LaserDisc and they were talking about how they wanted to make a distinct visual difference between the outside world, and the world that he entered, “like in The Wizard of Oz”

And. Wow. I can’t help but feel that this guy must’ve been a little bit disappointed to land over the rainbow and find LESS OF the color spectrum there

This has got me adding crossover worldbuilding that’s never gonna get written…into my tags at 5:26 am on a Sunday morning
