Kevin Flynn as the new MCP
so a while ago I wrote a kinda long rant about Kevin Flynn and there’s one line of it that I still keep coming back to in my head in the middle of the night
it has to do with Flynn and the MCP and a horror they might’ve both committed… One sec lemme see if I can find it
so it was about the idea of Flynn copying Tron for the new grid, and whether or not he left the Original Copy to continue being the Encom security software, and whether he consulted/informed anyone about this decision
because it’s kinda psychological horror to think of Grid Tron missing everyone back home but they all don’t even know he’s gone, cause he’s not
and I was wondering if maybe MCP did the same thing to the programs it stole
“…by the time of Legacy, Roy’s not an Encom employee anymore. What does this mean for his program? Also, of course, considering the fact that Ram wasn’t meant to be a program in the Encom system. If Kevin recovers him, will be have to leave Encom? Is his insurance company missing him? OR DO THEY STILL HAVE HIM??…Did the MCP leave original copies of the programs it stole?? Did Kevin and MCP commit the same sin against program well-being?”
