what little i have caught of hlvrai discourse made me just a bit apprehensive about the sort of things that happen to existing fandom when a new and different work in the same property is suddenly released and gets a new cohort of fans
but then I was like
ok, i survived this with star trek SO many times
and also
tron ares is gonna be terrible and there will be NO new fans because of it so we’re safe
Maybe Ares will at least give us some cool side characters/scenery/world building stuff/meme fodder?
Maybe! Hey, we’re fandom, we can turn any dumpster fire into material for actually well-thought-out worldbuilding and storytelling <3
