I just re-read Isaac Asimov’s “The Last Question,” and I’m giggling at a probably totally unintentional meaning

so, this computer that gets asked the repeated question about whether entropy can be reversed…

over the centuries, it is named the Multivac, Microvac, Galactic AC… always the same two last letters, which in the text are said to stand for “automatic computer”

but they could stand for another machine that tries to fight against entropy

the little Maxwell’s Demon that sits between inside and outside, eternally working hard to make one side colder and the other side hotter

what we today call an “AC”
