Those posts about “last character you wrote fanfic about is trapped in the last game you played” always hit me weird
because I don’t really play games, like hardly ever. Not even board games or card games unless someone talks me into it. I play games so rarely that it is HARD to even think back and remember the last one.
And when I do, it’ll be, like… Wordle. Last time I played a game, pretty sure, was that short period of time I was playing Wordle before NYT bought it, however many months or years ago that was. Ram from Tron 1982 is trapped in a frickin’ game of Wordle.
Will he face any dangers before death of boredom? Hmm. Depends. How many rounds does he have to play? Is it a lethal match? Does losing result in immediate deresolution?
Is Sark playing the other side, the randomizing process that chooses the words? (How much do a program’s skills factor into playing the randomizing side of a game, anyway? How good is Sark at being random? Would deliberately picking words that Ram’s unlikely to guess count as cheating? Would Sark’s sense of honor care about that?)
Of all the programs, I think Ram has the best stats for probability prediction (actuary math)…
…BUT unless he gets access to a much bigger vocabulary, I’m not sure it’s gonna go well for him.
(Oh wait.)
(Does “fuck marry kill” count as a game? I mean it hasn’t got graphics or game pieces, it’s only played in the format of “bored friends making conversation with each other” but…that was more recent.)
(He might be ok in that one.)
(you can’t LOSE that game. Unless… oh shit, imagine a multiplayer version of Fuck Marry Kill where you can die if your opponents get a challenge including your name and they choose you as the Kill option)
(aaaand again, the only way he could die is if he’s playing against Sark or the MCP, because nobody else could possibly choose killing Ram over fucking or marrying him.)
Sark and MCP would choose each other as the “fuck” option.
That is all.
