the day after I posted this last time I was notified that I was selected for a really cool mentorship gig and got an unrelated glowing review at work
this isn’t luck or anything since i’m not credited (academy awards and baftas don’t credit their designers who does their awards branding) but i had film industry professionals (directors and producers) praising my design work for a ‘for-fun’ film awards that my friend’s film account is doing the night i reblogged this so.
i guess it worked to an extent.
they called my work 'befitting of a professional film awarding event’ so that’s cool.
The Golden Potato sounds like a great design for a “for-fun film award”
