Puns where the second
interpretation makes sense but the first one doesn't

"how do you make a motherboard?"
"talk to her about computers!"

(This could be a valid answer to the question, but not to the question as it was originally spelled and interpreted.)

Puns where the first
interpretation makes sense but the second one doesn't

"why don't robots have brothers?"
"because they all have trans-sisters"

(Trans sisters is a valid answer to the question, although it does strangely imply all robots are assigned male and identify as female. Transistors, however, would be a total non sequitur.)

Puns where neither makes sense

"what kind of fossil did the robot paleontologist find?"
"a trilo-BYTE"

(A trilobite fossil has no obvious meaning to a robot paleontologist specifically. As for "Trilo-Byte," the connection to robots can apply only to the last syllable. The rest of the word is meaningless in context.)

Puns where both make sense

xkcd #583:
Developer tried to get pregnant, solely to use the child for testing a reported bug. Upon failing, she closed the bug report, saying "could not reproduce."

(This was a valid description of what happened with both the bug fix and the attempt to conceive.)
