I think my most signature type of fanfic is a mixture of Addition and Different POV– where I take a canon scene and show it from a perspective that gives it a whole different interpretation from what’s generally accepted as canon.

(aaand at least twice I have also incorporated a Smut plot, reinterpreting a canon death scene or fight scene as being actually a sex scene while not technically changing any of what we saw onscreen… I guess I may have a bit of a fixation here, lol)
