If the second canvas can be substituted for the first like this, then the original “SHITHEAD” was correct.
They could paint that.
I like to imagine it without calling the viewer “shit head.”
Just encourage them to explore art. To enjoy the creation of it. To make something that maybe inspires someone else to create.
And to suggest that maybe all art has value.
That the original abstract piece and the amateur imitation are comparable… not because both are worthless, but because both, in their own ways, are good.
