The most insane thing I ever saw:
A webshop that is “closed” -as in, unusable, can’t even browse- on Sunday. For religious reasons.
…
Given that this is a Dutch shop, I’m guessing fundie Christians. But like…
THE INSANITY.
Whaaaat
(like. What. Where in the Bible does it even suggest that)
(I sometimes buy electronics from BH Photo Video whose website pretty strictly observes Jewish holidays and they still let you BROWSE. it’s just that allowing you to checkout on a holiday or on Shabbat would I guess violate orthodox Jewish laws according to some interpretations? Idk maybe it would require one of their employees to do something to process the new order and they’re really dedicated to letting everyone have the holiday off? Anyway I respect them for it, and I’m rarely in that much of a hurry to buy electronics)
(but …yeah, what you’re describing doesn’t seem like “letting our own employees observe,” looks more like “forcing you to observe because you ought to be Christian like us”)
