Derezzed
Tron: Legacy [x]
I keep wondering about the pixelated effect of derezzing in Legacy and Uprising.
If those cubes are really the size of their pixels/voxels, wouldn’t programs look much lower-res when intact?
And since the deresolution visual effect in the classic 82 movie is more of just a shimmery blur…. that makes it seem like Encom in 1982 had smaller voxels/higher resolution than the Grid in 2010?
I mean I know the voxels are just rendered that way because they had the computer animation technology to do it and it looked cool, but…
…okay… to be quite fair… that is also a likely in-universe answer to “why did Kevin Flynn do it that way.”
