I’m one day too late, but this was my very first post on Tumblr, one year (and one day) ago. I knew from the start that I wanted to mainly write about Tron, and this particular line (and the later followup “he calls me”) is one I often think about. This is what Tron is all about to me: When you start a program on your computer, somewhere inside it there’s a tiny glowing person who feels a strange, irresistible call from a divine entity, and goes on a heroic journey to fulfill their purpose. At least, it’s fun to imagine that that’s what happening, that there’s a world inside the computer where man has never been.
