the problem is that people usually think of “it” as meaning something that doesn’t have a mind or an intelligence.
yes, maybe great and awe-inspiring like a mountain or sun, but… mindless, brainless.
…which makes no sense, because the moment people start talking about “my mind” or “my brain”? Guess what pronoun they use.
