I started the cult BECAUSE my made-up deity was living with me. She is my pet blue tongue skink and I thought it would be funny to start worshiping her

…started as a parody of “proofs of God’s existence” where the reasoning went like

• there is no possible definition of a god that can work for absolutely every religion
• therefore you can define god however you want
• I choose to define it as this lizard
• she exists. i have pictures to prove it
• therefore god exists
• also if the word “god” is now a synonym for “my lizard” that means we can put it in the thesaurus
• from the- [god] + saurus [lizard]

so far no one else besides me and my lizard have joined the cult but our doors are still open
