What do you mean we all live in a yellow submarine, No we don’t, we live on earth fo crying out loud. Are they crazy? And I know the Beatles don’t live in a yellow submarine since their dead so they have to be singing about humanity and like the universe isn’t a fucking yellow submarine

1. i 100% agree about the Beatles even though their lyrics weren’t any more absurdist than any of the music children are expected to listen to (I honestly thought the Raffi cover of Octopus’s Garden was the original for my whole childhood because it was such a nonsense kids’ song to me)
2. I am, however, laughing myself hoarse at the child logic of “they don’t live in a yellow submarine because they are dead, therefore they must be singing about humanity. Why do I think the Beatles are dead? Why do I think dead Beatles would still be singing about anything? idk but i don’t like it.”
