argentumcor:

I know Bruce Boxleitner has confirmed he isn’t going to be in Tron: Ares, but where is Tron the character? He’s in a way more interesting spot than Flynn at the end of Legacy (Flynn. is. dead. so is Clu) and, in case anyone missed this, the movies are named after him.

I love Tron as a character and if his recovery from Rinzler gets brushed under the rug I’m going to be so mad.

I may be the only person who finds Flynn to be a fake, a coward, and a fool, which makes him interesting in a lot of ways but not remotely someone I like. His story was closed out in Legacy where he found the stones to actually take the action he should have done years ago to deal with his horrifying mistake- the one that resulted in genocide, which he could have stopped at any time if he’d been willing to sacrifice himself- and the only interesting thing left to say about Flynn is how different characters reflect on him and his actions.

Idea that Disney is welcome to take but won’t:

Rinzlerfication did stuff to his appearance not just his height

Tron comes back but now he’s played by Anis Cheurfa
