I mean when you said “dual-ported” the first thing that came to mind for me was your other idea about “what if Tron ended up a mixture of two different Users after getting rewritten/refactored so he could get ported to Flynn’s Grid”
You’re a better person than me, then. I just read the Wikipedia article for DPRAM and started snickering at things like “RAM that can be accessed via two different buses” and “the same memory location cannot be accessed simultaneously through the ports” and “A true dual-port memory has two independent ports”.
I swear, the Tron fandom has ruined me.

… I have a whole headcanon about Ram getting nicknamed “Random Access” in that pit cell compound
(to be fair. That headcanon was set off by someone enhancing the sound in one of those pit cell scenes and finding background audio of a program yelling “my circuits are overloading!” and “if I don’t get some random access I’ll go crazy!” …I never had a chance)
