coupleofdays:

I realized that it’s been a while since I saw the movie Tron (1982, directed by Steven Lisberger), so I took out my DVD and watched it. It’s pretty good!

Dang, I didn’t even realize that this was my 500th Tumblr post, but it’s rather fitting, isn’t it? On a more serious note: As a fan I often dig in deep and obsess over some particular line or character or scene, so it’s nice to sometimes just sit down, relax and just enjoy the whole forest instead of the trees, so to speak.

Of course, that doesn’t stop me from noticing some new and curious leaves at the same time. For instance, on this viewing I wondered who “program Alou”, who the computer voice calls out for during the creation of the Solar Sailer, might be. And what additional information were they bringing to Sector 2?

Oooh yes!

I’ve got a friend who’s developing an OC (well not quite OC but you know) of Program Alou (Alu? Aloo? It seems to get spelled differently in different materials?)

I think my friend’s version of her is spelled Alu and she’s involved in product inventory for a mall or something? But it could be sooo many possibilities….

I’ve joked before about how Aloo means Potato in Hindi. Maybe Program Potato’s job is organizing orders from Indian restaurant menus. Sector 2 is where the secretary orders restaurant delivery to the Encom meeting room, and she’s notifying them that Roy wants to add a mango lassi and garlic naan onto his order for aloo gobi.

…aaaaand now I’m hungry.
