Yeah, I think part of the problem is that people act like these text generators are actually making up the stuff they say– but most of the time, even that is giving them much too much credit.

Mostly, they seem to be stealing the gist of sentences from whatever random place they want– even shitposts.

It’s almost the same as googling the question and believing whatever you read in the first couple pages that come up. Except sometimes it cherry-picks worse pages than Google’s actual ordering algorithm.
