You know, we’ve really missed out on the genderqueerness inherent in the word “cowboy”.

Cows are female. That’s implicit to the term “cow”. If they were male they’d be bulls or steer, depending on if they have testicles.

So clearly cowboy is like some mix of “girlboy” and “puppygirl”: you’re some kind of bigender/genderfluid furry.

This makes watching westerns a lot more fun.

also: in the world where cowboy is a genderqueer term, we can also have a specific western flavor of gender-neutral “dude”

(used to mean city-slicker… a dude ranch is a ranch for tourists from the city to visit)

(I am a sorta-girl-mostly-whatever, but I am 100% a dude in that sense. I need my 15 minute walkable city but I would totally go to the country on vacation)
