I have no idea. I mean I find it hard to imagine any adult in the year 2024 not seeing the original Tron for what it is…

And yet I do know there are some whose whole mission in life is to deny the queerness of the entertainment they grew up with, and even try to rewrite everyone else’s memories of it into the much more blandly heterosexual and unprogressive thing they want it to be.

I guess some of them would jump at the chance to be involved in writing actual canon… including by being offered a role in a new movie.

But I can’t make any guesses as to what’s going on in Leto’s mind. That’s a place I neither understand nor want to.
