Speculated, based on having a very Irish name. Plus, some of the people in the Purgos server immediately said he comes across as very Catholic (lapsed, no longer practicing) to them.
(I am however not an expert, despite being raised Catholic, because I was much too autistic to ever learn the skill of clocking other Catholics on sight.)
