when was “microfiche mounter” an actual job? like, when was the last time someone did that professionally?
I feel like if someone is denying you disability on the grounds that you could theoretically do this and such job, they ought to be required to prove that said job actually has openings available

Yes. This should be a bare minimum requirement. And also that any jobs available in such fields have NOT added “able to stand for 8 hours and regularly lift 20-30 pounds” to their base requirements.

(also. I would love to breed and care for reptiles, and such jobs do exist on the freelancing level at least… but I am fairly damn sure that requires quite a bit of standing and lifting things. Who made these lists.)
