well since I’ve been learning a lot of (fun, maybe questionable) Ancient Greece Facts from tumblr posts lately, here is what the Iliad evidently says about Achilles’ horse

“achilles makes a bitchy comment to his horses about leaving patroclus to die and the horse momentarily gains the ability to talk just to tell achilles it wasn’t THEIR goddamn fault, tells achilles he’s gonna die soon, and then goes back to being a normal horse.”

so, Matt’s lack of Greek mythology knowledge is his… omen of impending doom which also insists upon reminding him that he can’t blame it for all his problems
