Yeah, Yori was so cute in that trailer - glad they didn’t relegate her to “side character and love interest only there to support Male Lead” and had a good reason for her no longer looking like Cindy Morgan (RIP). Plus, did you see that punch? No disc, no back-up, and she owned. Tron could never.
I’m ecstatic to see Tron back on The Grid! Did you see those new data pushers? The trailer music was so good, keeping Joseph Trapanese was the right move. I’m pretty sure Beck is in one of the lightcycles too!!
I’d like to think that scene with Tron and Ram at the Input/Output Tower was a nod to the Odyssey scene in Deadpool, but c'mon– we Tron fanfiction writers have been out there pushing the boundaries of what can constitute a sex scene for YEARS. Is it too much to theorize that they just listened to the fans?
YES!!! And the scene where Tron finally came back online after they fished him out of the Sea of Simulation to be reunited with his counterpart AND finally meet his user?!?
That scene had be SOBBING happy tears. So happy for all of them it was such a sweet scene!
Also I’m pretty sure it was Alan who split Rinzler out from Tron and gave him his own body? And… it doesn’t look like they’ll be trying a “magic fix” for the trauma and brainwashing either.
One scene of Rinzler in therapy, confused but trying, would make my year. Especially if Tron’s there too in a “how to get along with your new murder twin” thing.
YES that was 100% Alan! I know we only got a glimpse but I have never been more sure!– I know they’ve tried to imply Bruce Boxleitner isn’t coming back for this one, but honestly? whoever they picked to play him in that scene? captured the soul of Alan so well I can’t even TELL if it was or wasn’t BBox himself.
Which, honestly? Same deal I have with Ram! Sure, sure, no one’s outright confirmed that the guy in those snippets is actually Ram but it’s as good as canon to me already. This is an all-star cast already just for how deep they all clearly understand the characters they’re playing, and I am stoked!
