The first film absolutely didn’t look like it was set anywhere else except Los Angeles… but no one ever specifically SAID the name of where it was set.

The second film (I think?) vaguely mentioned Center City somewhere.

I basically decided to headcanon that it’s some little-known fictional suburb of LA.
