Friendly reminder that not only does NaNoWriMo support AI-created works but so does AO3. I’ve been trying to see what FanFiction.Net’s views are on AI-created works but had no luck.
In the case of AO3, please actually read that one people, because it is very different from what I thought when I read this post. Yes, they allow it, but they have rules and are not encouraging AI use at all
Yeah, I think their policy about AI-generated works is unfortunately the only workable option for them. If they made a rule that it’s not allowed at all, then people would simply post it without tagging it as AI, and that would put the burden on the moderators to read through every fic and somehow come up with a reliable way of proving that something’s machine-generated and not just written by a very unskilled human. Which… you can imagine all the problems that would come with that.
