And how much the questions matter, depends on your viewpoint.

I have decided, for me, that the copyright holder’s claim to the material has no bearing on how much I care about their works. Especially when the copyright holder is Disney.

So, a new Tron movie made by Disney is not necessarily any more important to me than a new Tron fanfic written by someone on AO3.

Questions about its plot “matter” to me about as much as questions about the plot of some upcoming longfic by a big-name fan who lots of other fans admire but whose work I haven’t really liked in many years.

i.e. I am not going out of my way to think about it.

If it comes out and ends up actually being a huge hit and all my friends think it’s great? Then I might get curious. But right now? I got other things to think about.
