Also don’t get me wrong. I absolutely adore this photoshoot, I just also happen to think it’s the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. (Terminator and Newsies also have great ones). It’s all in good fun

I love ALL OF THESE so much
also: last one I have been SO MAD ever since i first saw it because who the hack went and scribbled on tron with markers and ruined it. and why is there no unruined version to be found. WHY
additional detail I’ve noticed:
the “I can’t see without my glasses one” and how much it contrasts with every scene of Yori.
I’ve watched a few videos of interviews with the cast, and it’s always kinda fascinating how those make you notice things about how they’re filmed
so, Cindy Morgan actually couldn’t see without her glasses. couldn’t even see very well with them. according to this interview she had vision bad enough to be legally blind.
and yet, she always did a fantastic job of looking like she was clearly seeing what ever she was supposed to be focused on. she never had a shot where she looked like Bruce’s blurry-eyed face in that picture
and I am not sure how she did that! IDK how actors do a lot of what they do. But… learning to look a certain way, when you can’t even see reflections or videos of yourself well enough to learn from them?? Miracle. Witchcraft. Legend.
BBox goes on about how it’s immature for adults to play video games– which Jeff Bridges was doing so much on set that he had to be dragged away from the arcade machines to get back to work (because Jeff Bridges is a method actor in the same way that every screaming baby that ever appeared in a movie is a method actor– his “method” is to only ever get cast as characters who are basically him IRL)
but BBox’s own way of having fun on set was to sit around with a cowboy lariat and rope people’s feet out from under them and it is hilarious that he thought that was more mature
and it is also bizarrely funny that a guy who considers himself too mature to play video games… may have been actually the perfect choice to play that specific video game hero. Because Tron was too mature to be playing video games either, and he knew it.
