Seeing discourse over people’s behavior in movie theaters is so weird to someone who does not see the point of going to movie theaters in general

It’s like. Everyone on every side of the argument sounds to me like someone yelling “I paid to eat my dinner in the communal misery and torture pit! if you are going to act that way in the communal misery and torture pit, maybe you should go eat dinner AT HOME instead of in the communal misery and torture pit” and yet none of them treat this as a serious option, it’s hilarious
