One of my least favorite things about growing up in the special ed system was how many words I had considered neutral were used only negatively

“consequences” (things that happen as a result of something? No. Punishments)

“behaviors” (doing things? No, specifically doing Bad Things)

“inappropriate” (not fitting for this specific situation? No, this means swearing or dirty talk, which we will not admit is ever appropriate for any situation, even though we all know perfectly fucking well it fucking is sometimes)
