sometimes I think about how Cyrus says so much about fate and destiny, like everything is inevitable except his actions completely contradict that

why even build an EMP bomb that would destroy the world if you didn’t think things could change, that there wasn’t some hope that whatever future he saw could be avoided?

Been a while since i watched the series but yeah he was so confusing. Never clear what exactly he believed or what his plan was

I remember he said he wasn’t trying to destroy the Grid he was trying to free it (or something like that)

Did he believe that his bomb and everything he did was all part of this inevitable fate? That it was destined to be the thing changing the system and making everyone somehow more “free”? Did he see a bad future he’d have to go through to get to the good one? Or was his mind just chaos?

I somewhat like the idea that he’s got more than one program trapped in his head influencing him in different ways…
