I genuinely cannot tell if the first character is trying to “elicit a response” and it just got spelled wrong, or if they’re giving an actual “illicit response” to something earlier and that’s why the other character’s response is so angry

…which means yeah, this also very closely resembles how i feel in social dynamics too :(
