I can’t believe half the comments were taking the “fake history” callouts as if they were meant seriously
this is a classic genre of Tumblr joke where someone posts a photo with something glaringly wrong and the commenters do a collective bit where they point out everything except the obvious (i.e. the “American flag”)
I love how Tumblr is not only the “people don’t understand jokes” site, but also sometimes the “people making the accusations of not understanding a joke are also failing to understand a joke” site. Layers upon layers here, lmao
