on the one hand:
this is not even slightly comforting. “other people do this a lot worse than you, and get tons of praise and money for it because they’re more privileged” does not comfort me at all, it makes me mad as hell
on the other hand:
being mad as hell is sometimes a really good motivator. i will never get even 0.001% of disney levels of fame and fortune for writing 1000x better than disney, but I WILL STILL FUCKING DO IT out of SPITE
