what if instead of analog horror we had “ants on a log” horror!
[image id: a black and white photo of the common american snack “ants on a log” or celery sticks filled with peanut butter with raisins lined up on top. There’s VHS static and the word PLAY, black bars censoring parts of the celery and red text saying “YOU CANT SAVE THEM” as if the ants on a log were from an analog horror series. /. End id]
I’m sorry, you have a snack called WHAT and it’s made of WHAT????
Why is American food so cursed??
i live in midwestern USA and have been aware of this “snack” since childhood
and in my experience it has always existed in the context of: “children want a snack, adults want the children to eat healthy food, so they make something out of (supposedly) healthy ingredients that is (supposedly) fun and appealing to children, in hopes that the children will willingly eat it instead of continuing to ask for candy”
in my experience it has never been in the context of “someone actually LIKES this”
