Anonymous:
Scenario: Your Alan Bradley. You've just revived a page from Sam urgently telling you to meet up at Flynn's arcade at like five in the morning. You get there, but Sam's not there. It's just this strange dark haired woman you've never heard of before claiming to be an acquaintance of Sam's. What's going through your head?

Umm. Interesting question.

I suppose Alan in that scenario would be imagining all sorts of things but not sure of any of it. Like:

Is Sam in trouble? Did this person see him get hurt or kidnapped? Does she know where he is? Was she the one who sent the page? Is Sam being held hostage, and who did it, and is this woman working for them or against them? Or was sending a page from Sam’s number just a ruse to lure me here, and they’re trying to kidnap or rob or kill me, and again, if so, just how is she involved in it?

I imagine Alan wouldn’t consider anything certain until he gets more info, and he’d start by asking her questions.

He’d probably be favoring a charitable interpretation, like that she’s worried about Sam and trying to get help for him. Especially since Alan’s seen Sam putting himself in danger so often already. And this interpretation would probably scare Alan plenty just by itself.

But Alan’s also seen a lot of shady, unethical and criminal dealings by this time, so he’s probably keeping all the more paranoid speculations at the ready, just in case.
