It’s fascinating to see how TERFs respond when faced with women sharing lived experiences that don’t fit into the radfem framework, like the fact that women in healthcare, especially gynecology, can be just as misogynistic as men & many people have had good experiences with men & bad ones with women gyns.
“This contradicts my framework…it must be literally all of the women on the 2 biggest social media platforms who are wrong”.
The main thing standing in the way of radical feminism will always be women, because for some reason they just don’t want to think and behave the way radfem theory says they should.
1000s of women: Actually I had bad experiences with women & like my male gynecologist.
Radical “feminists”, with women’s best interest in mind: I see no reason for male gynecologists to exist. Nope. None whatsoever.
Yeah like, literally my experience
And I always figured that cis female gynecologists know how much you can you take down there? But also women can be right cunts, and in that specific profession I have been dismissed the most by cis women. (my period changed for no reason and she didn’t bat an eye, just told it’s because I’m fat. I’ve been fat my whole life. Didn’t take the lump in my chest seriously either until I made her)
But the cis male gynecologists were more careful and go slower, and they’ve been listening more
It’s weirdly the opposite of every other field of medicine, it’s bizarre. Gynecologists are the only doctors I prefer to be male
And idk where OP is from. I’m from Germany, and it’s very much common here as well. Most people who go to gynecologists will tell you that they prefer men.
But yeah. Let’s ignore this lived experience of 1000s of patients in favor of a fantasy world where men are always evil and bad. These women are just stupid and don’t know what they’re talking about, silly girls. This is feminism.
i mean like
anyone of any demographic, in any profession, can be a jerk toward anyone else of any demographic
but sometimes the biggest jerks are the ones who think they know the entirety of what it’s like to be (a person of their demographic)… and refuse to imagine other ways of experiencing the same thing
and so, when another person who has that same thing in common with them is having an experience they don’t understand… their immediate response is “this person is stupid and/or a liar, and the only way I know how to deal with that is being a jerk to them”
….and … evidently… this can be true of both female gynecologists and feminists on the internet
