ok, actually it’s about that post suggesting that when you feel like ranting in Online Discourse you should channel it into writing to a politician instead. which would be an AMAZING idea, if redirecting urges actually worked like that.

maybe they do for some people?

maybe when some people get the urge to write Discourse Posts, the stuff building up in them is just general-purpose rage and it doesn’t matter what ideas they use it to express? maybe for some people the stuff that’s desperate to get out ISN’T already fully-formed ideas already crystallizing into complete sentences?

and maybe some people are also full of general-purpose body gunk with the potential to come out from any orifice as any type of excretion? i dunno. people are different
