Surveys of the “how many movies on this list have you seen” variety are a fiddly proposition for me because I grew up pre-Internet-video, so there are a lot of classic films where I’ve seen, like, the last thirty-five minutes of the TV edit, and I’m never sure exactly how much of a film you need to have caught for it to count.

I’m “traveled by plane a bunch of times before planes had individual movie screens” years old. So there are some movies that I saw in their entirety because they were playing on a giant screen in the plane and I had no real choice, but i heard absolutely none of the audio because i wasn’t gonna fucking pay for the headphones.

(And also the plane cut of movies back then would take certain things out, to avoid freaking out people who were scared of plane crashes. the classic example was Rain Man where they cut the “Qantas never crashed” scene so there was never any explanation for why they drove across the country instead of flying)
