I love TRON and I love TGC’s new game, Journey, so my brain obviously has been merging the two.
Ever since the Journey trailer came out, I have been thinking of a story: Flynn has reintegrated with Clu, and the Grid has crumbled into ruins. The Sea of Simulation is now a vast desert. There seems to be no life left, except for a robed figure who awakes in the sand. This figure has no memories or sense of who he or she is; all this person knows is that there is a looming mountain with a glowing beam that beckons.
I was thinking that this figure is a User, who, during his journey, figures out who he/she is, why he/she is there, and ultimately, his/her responsibility to the Grid. I was also going to throw in the idea that this User comes across a program or two.
There are no lightcycles or tanks, but the recognizers may still be in there for reasons those who have played Journey may understand.
