Yeah… I mean, going by what little we’ve learned about the storyline, I think those scenes show them in the User world instead of in the computer world… and I guess coming out there makes them lose some of their program aesthetic.

Personally I’d rather see more of what it’s like inside the computer. Specifically the Encom computer, or whatever upgraded system eventually replaced it. And any upgraded programs that may have migrated over with that change, and what their lives are like. That sort of thing.

But I’ve accepted that the only place I’m gonna see that is in fanworks.

Which is fine. Because fanworks, unlike Disney canon works, have actually learned they don’t have to follow the Hays Code anymore, so they’re just generally better.
