I love action figures whose entire reason for existing is clearly “we ordered too much of a particular colour of plastic”. When I was a kid I had a metallic gold Batman.
oh is THIS the reason for the Tron figures that are entirely translucent purple.
(when canonically they are white with blue circuit lines that only turn purple when HORNY)

To be painfully fair, the “lines turn purple when horny” is from the Deleted Scene
(not actually deleted, of course. love how they got all the way through adding fantastic special effects and music before deciding to cut it… and it totally still exists, just as an extra on the DVDs… could make a case for it not being canon but fandom would pretty much universally laugh at you)
headcanon: Tron under his outer shell actually IS translucent purple like those weird action figures and also illuminated from within, and turning him on with circuit stimulation just reveals his True Inner Nature
