so I was looking closer at a screenshot I used in this post about inconsistent wardrobe details (e.g. Ram’s disc suddenly changing appearance & gloves suddenly appearing) and I found a much weirder wardrobe (body?) inconsistency

so, I think they did the effects by filming everyone in black-and-white clothes on a black background, and then running it all through a long and labor-intensive process that changed the black parts on the clothes into Glowy, and the backgrounds into Whatever

And, I guess, that tunic they put on Flynn? cast enough shadow, down there in the groin/thigh area, that part of his thigh got treated like Background

and, while this is a very decidedly Out-Of-Universe phenomenon, even harder to explain in a Watsonian way than Ram’s sudden disc-and-hand transformation–

I am such an In-Universe sorta fan that… I still kinda find myself wondering how it felt.
