Like I keep saying, the problem with trying to stop Intra-Community Infighting Over Unimportant Things

is that all attempts to stop it will automatically become part of it

In other words: if your opinion on a debate is, “this is an unimportant issue and both sides should stop wasting time arguing about it”

1. That is an opinion on the issue, and

2. It usually agrees, or heavily overlaps, with one of the “main” opinions in the argument.

So you think you’re trying to stop the fight? but you’ve just … joined it and taken one of the basic sides.

What are you even trying to accomplish.
