Dear mouse corporation I have some suggestions for TRON: Ares
- Get rid of the nostalgia-bait 80’s TRON scenes because nobody really liked that movie in the first place
- Ares should struggle with his identity and humanity more—the Frankenstein parallels were shaky at best. If stinky tech bro Evan Peters created me to be sold to the US military, I’d have some serious issues.
- Give Cameron Monhagan more screen time bc I like him
- In the end Athena and Ares both go rogue and blow up the Pentagon
Okay I haven’t seen the new movie, but– as someone who absolutely LOVES the original 1982 movie–
I find this idea truly hilarious
because (for reasons obvious to the true fan) them going rogue and blowing up the Pentagon would be the ultimate nostalgia-bait 80’s Tron reference
